It’s fantastic to see the growing support year after year for Loops and those both serving and supporting the armed forces. At the time of this post the are over 230 members of the Causes.com page for the Calgary Loops for the Troops run coming up this Father’s Day.

Long ago we posted about the Couch to 5k program and how it does such a great job of laying out the steps of how to start to run and get up to a 5k! We Will Remember Them

As of today, 152 Canadian soldiers have died since Canada entered the war in Afghanistan in 2002.

CBC has worked sensitively and exhaustively with the families and friends of the fallen to create a tribute to those fallen heros.

The film will air Today, Remembrance Day, on CBC at 8:00.

Loops For The Troops was created to honor Cpl. Nathan Hornburg.

Lest We Forget

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month we take time to remember those that have given thier lives for the safety of others.

In Edmonton there will be ceremonies at Rundle Park, the University Butterdome and at the Alberta Legislature Grounds.

In Calgary there will be ceremonies at the Military Museum, Jubilee Auditorium, The Naval Museum of Alberta and at CPR Service (Gulf Canada Square).
