It was a beautiful day on Sunday as the race wound it’s way around North Glenmore Park.  It was a great turnout with even the Stampede Queen and Princesses showing up.  The Calgary Stars Gymnastics team were onsite and did a fantastic job of cheering on the runners.

We had some great runners out there including several soldiers training for the 2010 Mountain Man Exercise.  For that they will run 32k with a 15Kg Rucksack, then a 3.2km canoe portage followed by a 10k paddle on the river then a quick 5.6k march to the finish line.  Kudos to them!

Running in Spirit was added as a choice for the run for those that can’t make it to the event.  There are people from all over the world supporting and following this run and it we’d like to include them.

Does anyone have any suggestions for other names we can use for next year?  Please add them in the comments.
