In preparation, and in solidarity with Afghan women’s longing to learn to read, everyone is invited (optionally) to read Bitter Roots, Tender Shoots by Sally Armstong, and/or The Bread Winner Triology by Deborah Ellis. Both authors donate a portion of sales to CW4W.

Loops for the Troops choose 2009 Official Charity

Loops for the Troops is pleased to announce that The Royal Alberta United Services Institute is the official charity for the 2009 Loops for the Troops Race on Fathers Day – Sunday, June 21.

Loops for the Troops raised over $125,000.00 in 2008 and had over 1500 participants.

Tax receipts will be issued for donations in excess of $20.00.

Pledges and Donations go to The R.A.U.S.I. (Royal Alberta United Services Institute) Foundation and beneficiaries of include:
